K-8

Badgerlink's Novel List K-8 is a great resource for finding titles of books that are a lot like a book you just read.  It's also a great place for some popular new books as well.  This database is not connected to the Riverview IMC, so you'd need to go to Destiny Card Catalog to see if we have the book and whether or not it is in. 

NoveList

Novel List is exactly the same as Novel List K - 8, except this collection has more mature or difficult titles.  You search the same, by title, author, etc.  Again, the books on Novel List are not linked to the Riverview IMC, so you'll need to check out the online Destiny Card Catalog to see if we have the book and if it's checked in. 

YALSA stands for Young Adult Library Association.  This site contains MUCH information about books.  If you click on the graphic to the left, you will be taken to the page that's dedicated to teen reads that have won awards.  You will need to click on the award to see the list of books and a brief summary.  Top Ten Picks and Newberry Award winners are great choices to start with.

Barnes and Noble (and Amazon) are both great sites for searching what's "hot" or best selling right now.  Remember, they base this off who purchases books from THEM.  However, the lists are still very helpful, and are set up by genre and best sellers along with editor's picks.
